My name is Dovile and I am a certified massage therapist.

I’ve been passionate about massage since about the age of five. No really!

I was diagnosed with mild scoliosis (the abnormal twisting and curvature of the spine) at an early age, and remedial massage was part of my treatment – which was hugely beneficial. As an adult I have no back issues and my spine is straight.

Massage was also a big part of my family life. My mum used to give me back rubs before bed, and I remember my cousin loving the shoulder massages I gave her while we stayed with our grandmother.

Fast forward a couple of decades and here we are…

Qualifications and experience

I graduated from the Bristol College for Massage and Bodywork (BCMB) with a Diploma in Holistic Massage in the summer of 2015. Then I continued my education and did the Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage with Suzanne Yates from Well Mother. Most recently I returned to the BCMB and completed my Diploma in Remedial and Sports Massage.

My continued learning and development is very important to me and am always looking for ways to deepen my understanding of the body and massage therapy.

I have also completed the following courses:

  • Myofascial Assessment and Integration with Ruth Duncan

  • Myofascial Release - Level 1 with Ruth Duncan

  • Postural Analysis with Anna Orren

  • Freeing Shoulders with Darien Pritchard

  • Ankle and foot at the BCMB

  • Scar Workshop with Emma Holly

  • Dissection Workshop with Jane Johnson

As well as my running my own massage practice, I work at two Bristol Osteopaths clinics. There I work alongside some of the best osteopaths in the city and regularly attend their further education lectures and training sessions.
